Cynthia Pottier
Hi and Welcome!
My name is Cynthia and I am a dedicated educational psychologist. I have a passion for everything that is involved in learning and development. I love helping people grow and become the best version of themselves. I was drawn to the field of psychology because of the benefit I saw it having in the lives of individuals, families and communities.
I discovered my interest in educational psychology, in particular, during my academic career. After been exposed to the field, I soon fell in love with the profession and the impact that work within this field can have on our youth in particular.
My training took place at the University of the Witwatersrand, where I pursued psychology from an undergrad to a masters level.

After completing my Masters I went on to complete my internship at PsyCaD (The Centre for Psychological Services and Career Development) which is based at the University of Johannesburg. During my internship, I was exposed to a number of different experiences which have all contributed to my career and the professional that I am today. During my internship, I was involved in individual and group assessments, individual and group psychotherapy, individual and group play therapy, career counseling, crisis intervention, and much more.
The experiences in my career thus far have led me to want to learn more about the field of neuropsychology, I have thus recently taken up and successfully completed a neuropsychology course offered by Dr. Sharon Truter, founder of Neuropsychology SA. My current areas of interest include Neuropsychology, Assessments (school readiness, psycho-educational, subject choice, and career assessments), and psychotherapy (including play therapy and therapy for teens and pre-teens).
